Students begin Grupo Capoeira Brasil with a white cord.
Throughout the year Instructors will evaluate the students'
progress. When students participate in the annual batizado
the evaluation will determine whether or not they have
required skills to be promoted to the next cord. Students are evaluated
by improvement in their: technique, dedication to the group and
capoeira, character, discipline and specific demands of each level.
It is possible that an advanced student, who fulfills the requirements
of the next level and the level after will receive the higher cord.
Also a student who does not meet the requirements of the cord will
not receive the next cord until they are ready.

another group must go through the first cord, so the capoeirista

of the capoeira game and have a basic knowledge of the movements, such as kicks
and ground techniques, as well as music. Students know the choruses too many songs
and can play a few instruments. |

all basic and some advanced movements, such as basic kicks, trauma kicks and ground moves and techniques putting them
together in the game. Capoeiristas are also expected to know many choruses and songs and how to play all instruments

capoeiristas should also be capable of singing solos during a roda and playing all instruments (berimbau, pandeiro,
atabaque, agogo). |

the capoeira game. They have a large repertoire of songs and can play any instrument.
Once Blue/Red Cord holder status is reached, capoeirista assessments expand to include their devotion to the group and their ability to help

level to the next. |
